Every message is read by a person. It helps to mention which iPhone and which iOS version you use.

Where are my books stored?

Your library, notes, ratings and reading times are stored on your iPhone. If you delete the app, they are gone. Save them first under Profile → Settings → Export library as a CSV file. With an account, your friends see what you allow under Privacy.

Bringing books over from Goodreads or StoryGraph

Export your library there as a CSV file and open Profile → Settings → Import library in BestBooks. Statuses, ratings and reading dates come along.

A book can't be found

Try the barcode on the back, a photo of the cover or a search by title and author. Book data comes from Open Library, Google Books and the German National Library. If a book is missing there, send us its title and ISBN.

Reminders don't arrive

Open the iOS Settings, tap BestBooks → Notifications and allow notifications. You set the time in the app under Profile → Settings.

Deleting your account

The account is optional. You delete it under Profile → Settings → Delete account, confirming with your Apple Account. This deletes your account and everything BestBooks stored on this iPhone.
